Your professional languages include PHP/jQuery, while you are comfortable handling popular databases such as MySQL. We would be even more excited to hear that you have explored NoSQL databases such as CouchDB, Redis, or Memcached.

Your base platform for all these is of course, the LAMP stack! You will mainly work on the GNU/Linux platform, and so, you must be familiar with its tools and utilities.
